Brian Vera and Taronze Washington Make Weight

Long time Middleweight Contender and Texas native Brian Vera (19-6, 12KO's) and tough journeyman Taronze Washington (14-16,7 KOs) stepped on the scale ahead of their showdown for the vacant World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF) International Middleweight Title on Saturday, April 21st at the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Former world champion Paulie Ayala is promoting the show, which is called Gloves & Guitars: The Tejano Throwdown. Vera, now trained by veteran coach Ronnie Shields, is attempting to rebound from last October's ten round decision loss to Andy Lee. Former world champion Troy Dorsey is the WPBF supervisor.
